GHOST GIRL SERIES

New series of paintings for NAMESAKE group show with OneTwoDelta and Iam Pigologist, entitled GHOST GIRL, is now exhibiting at Dhalia Gallery, 69A Pagoda Street level 2 Singapore 059228. Show ends on the 22nd of July 2012.

From much conversation with Inkten about the historical values about renaissance art movement and the theory of portraits of riches and monarchies being immortalized, and the poor and average living condition people not being able to afford artists to paint their portraits to be remembered, I've came to an end of the road, that what it means to paint a portrait of making someone immortal is not the material and wealth that they have but as value of a person. As the living lifestyle and economics drastically sores high, and the rich will become richer and the average people will turn poor, and the poor will eventually disappear into the darkness of the streets, living in Singapore has become a survival game. I've realized that what we're earning is merely to survive, not for comfort. This new series of paintings explores the depth of our economic system as we are slowly buried into the rubles of the riches, and showcasing that as an artist I have the power to immortalise the average earning income individuals.
